In five years with UCCS, Miller holds a record of 48-38-7 and has helped the team achieve a postseason bid to the RMAC Tournament in all five seasons. The Mountain Lions tied for second in the RMAC last season and tied the program win record with a 13-5 mark. UCCS placed five student-athletes on the All-RMAC teams and the Mountain Lion defense allowed a program-low 18 goals. UCCS finished sixth in the NCAA Division II South Central Region ranking and in the top 10 of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America regional poll.

In Miller's fourth season, the Mountain Lions finished as the runner-up in the RMAC Tournament after a shootout to colorado Mines in the championship match. The Mountain Lions finished with an 11-7-2 record and scored a program-record 47 goals. He was nominated for NSCAA South Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year and was on the staff as Head Coach Johnnie Keen earned RMAC Coach of the Year accolades.

In 2013, the Mountain Lions placed three student-athletes on All-RMAC teams and one on the NSCAA All-Region team. In 2012, UCCS placed fourth in the RMAC and hosted the first playoff game in program history.

Miller's first season of 2011 under former Head Coach Henry Ellis saw UCCS post a 7-6-1 conference record and reach the RMAC Tournament for the first time since 2003. The Mountain Lions had four student-athletes on the All-RMAC lists.

The Chippewa Falls, Wis., native was a four-year letterwinner at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh from 2006-10. He played in 74 matches during his four seasons and led the Titans to a 56-15-10 record with 17 goals and 16 assists. UW-Oshkosh advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament in his sophomore and senior seasons. He scored five goals and recorded nine assists to lead the Titans to the national semifinals in San Antonio during his senior season, and scored the game-winning goals against Wartburg and Whitworth to push UW-Oshkosk to the Sweet Sixteen round as a sophomore. He was named to the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Team in 2010 and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Region Team.

In 2009, Miller was unable to play due to medical reasons and took on the role as an assistant coach for the Titans. As an assistant coach, Miler helped the Titans to a 13-4-2 record and a top 25 national ranking.

Miller finished his career at the UW-Oshkosh by receiving his bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in wellness promotion. In 2014, Miller received his master’s degree in counseling and human services with an emphasis in school counseling from UCCS. Miller also has his USSF “C” Coaching License.
