Coupe's recent contributions were highlighted with All-Americans Bradley Klahn and Ryan Thacher anchoring the Cardinal's singles lineup during their four-year careers. Under Coupe's tutelage, Klahn and Thacher flourished at the top two spots of the lineup. Klahn produced a career record of 130-34 and captured the 2010 NCAA singles title, while Thacher won at least 20 matches in every season en route to compiling a 94-46 career mark.

This is the best run tennis camp

8/25/2016 - This is the best run tennis camp of any camp my kids have ever attended. The coaches and staff are outstanding -- full of energy, enthusiasm and caring for all of the campers. That is what makes this camp so great! My son and his cousins attended last year and this year and had a blast. They chose the high school week since preferred only being around high school age kids. That worked out great. They have been improving so we weren't sure if there would be enough competition for them, but there was plenty of competition! The high school/tournament training week attracts some very good tournament/college level players, as well as high school level players. Overall a fantastic experience! Again, what makes this UC Santa Cruz camp special is the coaches, assistant coaches/counselors and directors!!! Most of them have been working together at this same camp (as well as college coaching together) for multiple years!! They are not only top notch and knowledgeable tennis coaches, but more importantly positive and caring people. They set the tone for a happy, productive, and positive week for all!!

money well spent

8/12/2016 - Jake always comes home completely stoked about tennis after camp. I'm very pleased about his time at your camp, without a doubt it was money well spent, wish we'd known about it sooner. Hopefully he can come again next year one last time if he chooses to try to try to play at a JC. We will spread the word to the other kids on the team.

pay more attention to campers

8/17/2015 - Counselors should pay more attention to campers. They were mostly paying attention to themselves (not sitting with campers at meals, etc).

8/2/2015 - Maya thoroughly enjoyed camp and grew as a tennis player at UCSC Nike Tennis Camp. She found her instructors to be positive and encouraging. While at camp she was introduced to new techniques that she'll continue to build on and utilize to improve and strengthen her game. Overall, the camp for Maya was a great blend of learning, competition, and fun...perfect for her age and level! Thank you Nike Tennis Camp!

coaches were highly energetic and knowledgeable

8/1/2015 - This camp far exceeded my expectations as a parent. My nephews went last year and loved it so this year my son joined in. He has had on and off enthusiasm about tennis for years. Well, he absolutely loved the camp and now feels totally passionate and enthusiastic about tennis. He has been telling me everything he learned and practiced and wants to keep practicing. The coaches were highly energetic and knowledgeable and seemed to really care about the campers. Plus they had lots of fun with off-court activities. Maybe one way to improve would be to include more stretching and fitness activities -- more stretching and injury prevention than hard core fitness. Otherwise the camp is ideal and Jake will be back!

make sure campers have equal time with all the different instructors

7/9/2015 - Although I really enjoyed my overall experience, everyday I had the same instructor and I felt like I was unable to receive instruction from other instructors, so I would recommend making sure your campers have equal time with all the different instructors, or at least not have the same instructor the entire camp.
