Nike Yoga Camps returns to The Dailey Method in Chicago! Practice yoga sequences and fun off-mat activities specifically tailored for youth athletes at TDM North Shore in Kenilworth or at TDM Chicago-Bucktown this spring and summer!

Nike Yoga Camp for Kids is perfect for any youth athlete looking to improve their strength, focus, and confidence. Camp will cover pose sequences, stretching and injury prevention techniques, guided meditation, and fun games!

Amy DeVore
Camp Director

Amy DeVore

Amy DeVore is the founder of Compass Mind + Body in Evanston, Illinois. Amy is a certified and registered yoga instructor who began teaching Power Vinyasa yoga in 2010. She teaches power vinyasa for youth and adults in various locations across Chicago and is a regular kids yoga instructor at The Dailey Method (North Shore) in Kenilworth, IL.

As a mother, licensed social worker, and athlete she experiences the everyday stresses the body endures. Amy believes yoga provides the strength, flexibility, and balance needed in life, both physically and emotionally. Her classes are geared towards strengthening and conditioning the body to endure everyday challenges associated with the stresses that come with school and extracurricular activities. Amy encourages the practice of yoga in youth, especially young athletes.

Katie McCarthy

Katie McCarthy is a certified yoga instructor and the Clinical Director of Haven Youth and Family Services, an adolescent mental health facility in Wilmette, IL. She completed her yoga teacher training at Yogaview Wilmette in 2014 after practicing for over a decade. She teaches yoga to adolescents in the North Shore at various schools through her position at Haven.

Katie appreciates yoga’s ability to keep one grounded and in the present moment.  Her classes have focused on helping the youth in the North Shore find their center amongst academic, athletic and social stressors.  She has two young kids who already love to practice yoga before bedtime.

More Important Camp Details


Lunch/snacks are not provided. Campers should eat lunch prior to arrival and should bring nut-free snacks to enjoy during breaks.


Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. Camp director/staff will modify all poses to suit each individual. Parents are invited to attend the closing ceremony! Departure immediately following the closing ceremony. 


Campers should come dressed in comfortable, athletic clothing. Campers are asked to bring a yoga mat, water bottle, lunch, and a composition notebook with a pen/pencil for daily yoga journaling. 


Transportation is not provided to or from camp.


A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact numbers, and a checklist of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring. The US Sports Camps health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.

  • 1:15 PM First Practice-Series A & B, Basic Poses, Breathing Techniques
  • 2:00 PM Arts and Crafts/Yoga Journal
  • 2:30 PM Discussion/Yoga Games ("Concentration", Cobra Races, Walking Meditation)
  • 3:00 PM Snack Time/Water Break
  • 3:15 PM Second Practice-Series A & B, Strength and Flexibility Poses
  • 4:00 PM Closing Circle/Review Theme and Pose of the Day
