Steve Gartelman became the second Head Coach of the Lake Erie men’s lacrosse program after the Storm's 2014 seasons after serving two years as the team's graduate assistant coach.
In his two years as a graduate assistant, the Storm has emerged as one of the top teams in Division II. In 2013, the Storm peaked at number nine in the national rankings and earned the first bid to the NCAA Championships while three players earned All-American nods.
In 2014, the Storm won 10 of their final 11 games, capturing their first ECAC Championship. The Storm defense finished the season allowing just 7.57 goals per game- sixth best in the country. Midfielder Reagan Harding (Saskatoon, Sask./Bishop James Mahoney) and defender Justin Goodwin (New Westminster, B.C./New Westminster Secondary) earned their second-straight All-American honors.
Gartelman came to Lake Erie following a standout career at Limestone College where he was a three-year starter at goalkeeper for the Saints, including the team’s 2012 national runner-up season. He was a two-time all-conference selection in net and posted a career record of 44-6 (.880).
Prior to playing at Limestone, Gartelman was a member of the lacrosse team at St. John’s University for two seasons, including a redshirt year. He also served as a volunteer coach at Seaford High School in his native Seaford, N.Y.
Gartelman earned his bachelor’s degree from Limestone in strength and conditioning.

Camp ReviewsSubmit a review
The Boys Goalie Camp in Oregon was an outstanding experience for my son. He really enjoyed meeting new friends and playing in the "goalie games" every evening. The instruction from staff was very knowledgeable and engaging! The staff was great at providing one on one time with all the boys and the camp site at OSU was perfect!

The best choice!
I just wanted to tell you that my son attended your Goalie School last week and it was by far the best camp ever! I promise we have spent a lot of money on camps and private lessons and he learned so much at your camp. Most camps simply don't focus enough on goalie instruction! This was by far the best choice and investment we have ever made in our childs future as a goalie.
