    Highly recommend

I would highly recommend this camp to others of any skill level. After spending the week with this organization I feel more confident in my skills and abilities. This camp allowed me to grow and test my skills against older kids in the advanced session versus the beginner due to my age.

    Overall great camp

Our kids have attended Soccer Camps in Southern California. The location of the camp at CSUCI was a perfect location with perfect weather. The college during the Summer is empty and the only group of people were the soccer camp kids. Parking was ample for parents. Our kids were very, very happy with the food! They now want to go and play at the college level because soccer is fun and the food in the cafeteria is great! The coaches provide positive feedback and the group of coaches are well rounded individuals with rich and unique soccer personal experiences at the many different levels.

    Top-notch camp!

It's my son's third year attending the camp. It doesn't get any better than this camp. My son is a gold player and every year he gets better after attending camp but more importantly he meets new kids and has a blast! The coaches are top-notch!

    Inspiring Experience!

I just wanted to say thank you for providing a positive, high quality camp for my son, during your July 11-14 camp.  It was his first time to your camp and we came from Seattle really not knowing what to expect.  Quality goalkeeping sessions are hard to come by in our area and I had to email and let you know what a positive impact your team of goalkeeping coaches had on my son. Your coaches not only gave him great technical training, but inspired him to come home and work hard on the new things he learned.  I want to add that your speech about the importance of academics was priceless. My son really heard you and although he is a good student already, it helps to re-affirm everything he hears from me about how hard he has to work to achieve his goals. I now have an aspiring Cal Bear on my hands, which was is great! Please let your staff know what a great job they did and what an impact he is having on kids at such an important age. We will definitely be back next year!  Thanks again to you and your team.

    Experience was exceptional

Nike Soccer Camp was a great experience for our son.  He was really motivated to learn and to improve, even after his week at camp.  He was exposed to a great ambiance, with participants coming from all over the country. Some campers even traveled here from outside of the US.  The camp also provided a safe atmosphere for the participants to learn, and the college/dorm experience was a plus because it gave our teenager something more to strive for in the years to come.  Being coached by a collegiate staff and players gave the boys something to emulate for their upcoming college years.  All in all the experience was exceptional, even the food was great!

    Learned how to be accountable

The Nike Soccer Camp at Berkeley is outstanding. We have our son playing at the Gold Level in club and we feel this camp offers outstanding coaching and overall training. The location is unparalleled and the housing fantastic. This is the second year our oldest son has attended and our younger so will be attending next year as well. The boys are well supervised but also expected to manage their time properly, get to the cafeteria on time, be prepared in a timely manner for the group departure to the fields, and very importantly, how to be accountable for their kit and gear at all times. My son has made friends from New York, Los Angeles, Australia and the Philippines while attending.  I enthusiastically recommend this camp.

    Boosted his Confidence

My son is 11 years old and this was his first "sleep away" camp.  He didn't know anyone else going to camp that week, but made so many new friends by the time he left.  He is a very picky eater, and so we were worried about that, but he ended up really liking the food and it wasn't an issue at all.  He had so much fun and learned a lot.  His coach for the week was one of the keepers on the UC Berkeley team and he was so amazed by that and really admired him.  I would highly recommend this camp to others, and I will certainly send my son again next year.  It was a great experience for him in both improving his soccer skills and in boosting his confidence.  He can't wait to go again next summer.

    Venue is a plus

My 10 year-old son has been going to Nike California Soccer Academy at UC Berkeley for the last three years and he looks forward to returning each year.  It's a great mix of fun, athletic intensity, soccer skills and friends.  The coaches are great and the UC Berkeley venue is a plus!  Highly recommended.

    Camp home pumped up

Overall this camp was a positive experience for our son.  He enjoyed the coaches and the kids and the food!  He came home pumped up and really excited about soccer.  He liked the camp because he was able to work on basic skills and therefore improved on his first touch and ball control.

    Intense soccer experience

    Should focus on Nutrition

I think a sports camp should have a clear vision about nutrition. There was too much sugary drinks and sodas. A camp like this has an opportunity to demonstrate sporting as a lifestyle ... not just a game. What does it take to be an athlete and what does that mean. I saw a lot of great sportsmanship which I think is great.

Pushed me to do my best

The Nike Cal Soccer Camp was a great all around experience. I felt really accepted, even though I did not do the overnight. The staff there was great, and the facilities were amazing as well. The intensity was great, and the coaches made sure to push all the players to their bests.

    Educational and challenging

    Needs better feedback

Feedback about my children's performance from the coaches. One doesn't write feedback so I had to get it verbally in broken English. My other child's coach said the written feedback was 'thrown away' when he didn't pick it up first thing in the morning. When pushed for verbal feedback it was very generic which made me feel that she didn't really take an active interest in my son's coaching. I doubt she knew his name after a week.

    Challenging skills development

My son loved Nike Soccer Camp at Cal. He enjoyed everything from the challenging skills development to staying in the dorms. Watching the World Cup on the big screen at the Cal stadium during practice was an added bonus!

    Nike Berkeley camp was perfect

The level of instruction was phenomenal. For our 10 year old son, who was experiencing his first overnight camp the Nike Berkeley camp was perfect. He felt safe and secure. The dorms were safe and well supervised. As an advanced Club Soccer Player he was challenged by the coaches. In particular he loved the competitive and well organized scrimmages at the end of each training session. He is returning next year, with his 9 year old brother too!

    Promotes team building

The coaches handled the campers in a professional way as opposed to just recreational. It gives the recreational player a real view of what is required to play in a professional league. The campers learn independence within safety guidelines. The program promotes team building. It is just an overall great opportunity and program for children of various ages.
